Waterford and beyond

Waterford is a lovely town in the South Eastern part of Ireland. We stayed at the Waterford Tower Hotel which happens to be located on the Viking Triangle, where much of the history seem d to be found.

Our first day here was spent exploring the local treasures and our first stop was the Bishops Palace. This was probably our favorite stop of all the sites we visited in Waterford. The palace had a magnificent display of Waterford Crystal and on our visit we were fortunate to meet Sean Egan, a master glass maker who is world renowned for his glassware. His resume includes several pieces made for US presidents.

The town of Waterford was very quiet, we arrived on a Sunday and found most of the establishments closed. Luckily we happened upon the REG, which soon became our favorite hangout while in Waterford. One we could almost always count on it being open and two the had an amazing group of people who worked there that were exceptionally friendly and helpful, plus the food and drink were great.

Waterford, an enchanting Irish town teeming with history and charm. Explore its hidden gems, lace up for adventure! Stay at Waterford Park Hotel, nestled in the heart of the Viking Triangle. Bring good walking shoes.
