Be treated like royalty on a small budget. Irish castles offer the gamut of experiences. Castles come in all shapes, sizes and budgets and each one has a different feel and atmosphere. When choosing where to stay, it’s important to find somewhere that will suit your needs and budget. You could opt for a luxury castle with all the amenities or choose somewhere more relaxed with fewer facilities but still have some great memories. There are so many castles throughout Ireland that there is something for everyone! On our summer trip to Ireland this year we are planning two different castle sites on our stay. If this is something that interests you I would recommend researching and booking castles stays early as these experiences tend to fill up quickly. My husband and I have been to Ireland once before and did not book any castle stays during that trip, and although we had an amazing experience, we knew that this trip we wanted to up our game and include at least one night in an Irish castle.
One of my core beliefs when traveling is to book a minimum of two to three nights in each place we are visiting. I have learned over the years that when traveling, more time in one area is much more fulfilling than spending visiting many places for one night.
However, our castle stays on this trip will be limited to just one night each. Mostly due to availability. Since we are traveling with another couple, we were not able to find accommodations for more than one night at either of our castle visit. None-the-less we are very excited and cannot wait to share our experiences.
